“This is he, may I ask who is calling?(我是,请问哪位?)”
“Hello Mark, this is Brenda from Concord. Is it a good time for you to have a quick call?
“Yes, of course.(方便的。)” Mark说。
“I’m calling to congratulate you on passing the interview. Welcome to join Concord Internship Program.(我打来是要恭喜你,面试通过了,欢迎加入毅安集团实习。)”
“Sorry, you mean I passed?!(不好意思,你的意思是我通过了?!)”
“Yes you did. Many congratulations. We will send you the onboarding plan and contract soon. Your direct supervisor will be in touch as well.(是的,通过了。
“Um…thanks… sorry, may I ask which team have I been assigned to?(额…
“Well…(这个…)”
“Details about the role will be explained in the onboarding email to be sent later, but since there is only one headcount for your role, and very unlikely to be changed, I could share it with you first. You will be placed in the Group Project team. Please refer to the email for further details later.
“Got it! Thank you so much! Really appreciate the call!(明白了!
...
“Huh, what do you think?
“Not bad. How did it come about?(是不错。
“Sort of an accident.(算是一个意外吧。)”
“Well, it comes from your budget anyways, I don’t have any issue with that.(反正预算你那边出,我没什么意见。)”
“I have massive savings on travels this year, will be able to keep it well under.(今年我这边省了很多差旅费,预算绝对超不了。)”
“By the way, don’t forget about tomorrow. And say hi for me.(对了,明天的事情你别忘了。
“Oxbridge, Ivy League, ain’t nobody gets me! Young grads, gel caps, always focus on the stats!
“Stop it…(停…)”
